Pyramid Computer GmbH has been a recognized expert in the field of accessible digital self-service solutions for decades. Our innovative kiosk terminals comply with both the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) and the new European Directive 2019/882, known as the European Accessibility Act (EAA), which will come into force in June 2025.
The ADA, a key piece of legislation protecting the rights of people with disabilities in the United States, and the EAA, which provides for greater accessibility in the European Union, set clear standards for the accessibility of products and services. These regulations require that digital and physical self-service solutions, including our kiosks, be fully accessible to all users, regardless of their physical abilities.
In designing our kiosks, we have made maximum accessibility a top priority. We understand the challenges that people with limited mobility face when using digital services.
For decades, we have been committed to ensuring that our kiosks are fully accessible. The self-service kiosks are designed to be conveniently accessible to both standing and seated users, including wheelchair users. The Storm Audio-Nav™ keypad is an accessible keyboard. The brightness and contrast of our touchscreens are optimized for improved readability. Some kiosks also integrate voice control and audio support to optimize use for people with visual impairments. In addition, the kiosks are large enough for wheelchair users and free of physical obstacles.
At Pyramid Computer, we strive to continually improve the quality of our products and to further optimize accessibility. For us, inclusion is not just a goal, but a fundamental principle that shapes our work.
