The POLYTOUCH® PASSPORT 32 self-service terminal will become part of the Siemens HiMed infrastructure.
This provides hospitals with an open and secure platform of hardware and software for digital services at the point of care. These include enter and infotainment, message exchange between nursing staff and patients, patient education, menu ordering and patient surveys.
The HiMed InfoPoint kiosk system now brings some of these services to patients. The hardware for the solution comes from Pyramid Computer. The terminal is based on the POLYTOUCH® PASSPORT 32, which has been equipped for the specific requirements of Siemens HiMed.
As a HiMed InfoPoint, the PASSPORT 32 provides patients and visitors with important information in the entrance and common areas of hospitals. Payments for HiMed services and topping up patient card credit can also be made at any time of day or night using the integrated payment system – without the need for staff.
More information can be found in this press release (in German).
The PASSPORT 32 is also used here and here in the healthcare sector.
