POLYTOUCH® + PLS locator

The compact and lightweight devices from market leader Quuppa are mounted on ceilings and walls.

Their discreet design blends unobtrusively into any environment. We have a special version for outdoor areas .

The PLS uses the AoA (Angle of Arrival) method for real-time localization. As a result, it achieves unrivaled reliability and precision (between 15 and 25 cm).

The pucks send short Bluetooth signals to the locators, which are permanently installed on the ceiling, for example.

The mobile position is calculated via a runtime comparison of one or more receiver signals (AoA and RSSI).

The Infrastructure requirements are low: For a rectangular Room from 100 to 200 m² Surface area are about 5 to 10 Locator required.

After installation, an initial calibration of the system is carried out, during which the reference positions of the permanently installed receivers are determined and stored in the system. The pucks can then be used immediately without calibration.
