The interactive POLYTOUCH 32 CLASSIC brings multichannel shopping to the sales floor.

Pyramid and Wincor Nixdorf have teamed up to create an interactive, all-in-one digital multi-touch kiosk system based on Intel® architecture for leading UK retailer Marks and Spencer (M&S): the POLYTOUCH® CLASSIC 32.

M&S has over 700 stores in the UK and more than 350 in the rest of the world.

The aim of M&S is to become the first address for fashion and living by using state-of-the-art kiosk terminals, selling both in-store and online, and to transform itself into the world's most progressive company among major retailers by 2015.

The company knew that it could only achieve its ambitious goals with the right technology partners. M&S turned to multi-touch kiosk manufacturer Pyramid Computer and Wincor Nixdorf, the provider of retail and banking solutions.

Both partners created a terminal that perfectly meets all of M&S's requirements. With the aim of increasing in-store sales and interaction with the M&S website, customers can now use the in-store terminals to access product information online and browse the webshop for items.

In this way, the entire M&S portfolio is brought into the store, giving customers access to a much greater variety of product sizes and styles - all at the touch of a finger.
